About Strategic Simon

My Love Affair with Efficiency and Production

I've been fascinated by machines since I was playing with model trains as a kid. By seventh grade, I was trading stocks. In college, I studied what makes organizations thrive or die. After graduation, I spent three years building a family startup from scratch—learning sales, marketing, operations, and HR while devouring business classics from Drucker to Godin.

Then I went to the factory floor.

For seven years, I worked in CNC shops, plastic molding, electronics manufacturing, and industrial HVAC. I've debugged failing systems at 2am, optimized asset tracking that saved tens of thousands, and diagnosed equipment issues on 2,000+ units annually. I learned that data without operational context is just noise—and noise costs money.

I have a special affection for manufacturing and production. Manufacturing is the backbone of the real economy, but too many shops are being left behind as the world shifts to bytes over drill bits.

I've watched good businesses struggle—not from lack of skill or hustle, but from lack of clarity about what their data is telling them.

I want to see manufacturers and small businesses not just survive, but lead. I can help by turning your operational reality into strategic intelligence—finding the opportunities hiding in your maintenance logs, production data, and systems you use every day.

Seven years on factory floors and jobs sites taught me something most analysts miss: the numbers only matter if you understand what's actually happening on the ground. I bridge that gap.

Let's build something that lasts.
